Injured Carp

One of our regular carp anglers caught an 18lb 5oz Mirror carp on Saturday and noticed unusual damage to the top of it’s caudal (tail) fin.  There is a lot of speculation as to how it was caused.  Accidental or deliberate fin clipping.  If anyone catches a specimen carp and sees unusual fin damage – PLEASE take a close up photograph and report it to John Button.

This is UNACCEPTABLE

This barbed hook with its 2ft of line was removed this afternoon from the leg of a goose that was distressed and having difficulty walking on the main pond. There are some thoughtless morons that fish 🎣 our waters.

BARBED HOOKS OF ANY SIZE ARE PROHIBITED ON OUR WATERS – TO THOSE PERSONS THAT ARE LIKELY TO USE SUCH HOOKS – DON”T BE OFFENDED IF YOU ARE REQUESTED FOR A TACKLE INSPECTION.
